About ALPHATEC® 170

Chock Grout

ALPHATEC® 170 is a specialised epoxy chocking system designed to replace metallic shims for heavy machinery alignment.

Its self levelling blend flows smoothly, cures without shrinking, and offers reliable load transfer in dynamic environments—making it a trusted choice for industrial and marine applications.

Features

High compressive strength under continuous vibration
5:1 volume mix ratio for straightforward application
Excellent dimensional stability at elevated temperatures
No shrinkage for precise, long-lasting alignment

ALPHATEC® 170 provides a hassle-free, high-strength alternative to steel shims for accurate machinery alignment in tough conditions.

Packaging and Mixing

Delivered in two-litre sets (with larger options on request), ALPHATEC® 170 comes with a resin and hardener that require about one minute of low-speed blending.

For bulk operations, use vertical-shaft mixers and closely monitor pot life to prevent premature curing. Incorporating the entire pre-measured aggregate ensures optimal performance, and strict safety measures—such as PPE—must be followed during handling.
