About ALPHATEC® 741

Fast Curing Epoxy Patching Mortar

ALPHATEC® 741 is a fast-setting epoxy mortar designed for repairing saturated or submerged concrete in demanding marine and industrial environments.

Its thixotropic nature allows vertical or overhead application in 20–30 mm layers without sag, and it remains effective in low-temperature conditions (near 0 °C) for time-critical interventions.

ALPHATEC® 741 has been used to repair:

  • Wharves
  • Jetties
  • Mooring dolphins
  • Various other marine structures
  • Concrete foundations in wet areas in steel mills, basements, etc.

Features

Rapid curing at ambient or near-freezing temperatures
Thixotropic formula for no-sag overhead or vertical repairs
Excellent water resistance and low absorption in wet areas
Strong adhesion to concrete, steel, and stone substrates

ALPHATEC® 741 delivers quick, dependable repairs on wet concrete surfaces, even in challenging cold or submerged conditions.

Packaging and Mixing

Each pre-measured, three-component kit (resin, hardener, and a 20 kg aggregate bag) yields about 5 liters of mortar—enough to cover roughly 0.25 m² at 20 mm thickness.

Mix the resin and hardener for at least two minutes using a non-aerating blade, then gradually add the aggregate until fully coated.

Avoid overmixing to prevent air entrapment. The pot life is around 20 minutes at 25 °C, and the product cures with negligible shrinkage.
