ALPHATEC^® 741 is a fast curing epoxy patching mortar for application on wet concrete surfaces. It has excellent workability, and the non-slump characteristics are such that 20 to 30 mm can be applied overhead on a flat surface without sagging.

ALPHATEC^®741 is supplied as a pre-measured three component kit, thus requiring no weighing of components in the field. ALPHATEC^® 442 primer should be used for best adhesion.

Packaging and Safety

ALPHATEC^® 741 is packaged in a set yielding approximately five litres. At 20 mm thickness, one set will cover 0.25 m².

Larger sets are not available, but multiple sets can be mixed at one time.

Mixing and Handling

A rotating pail mixer is generally used for mixing this product, and it is quite possible to mix two sets at a time. This will, of course, shorten the pot life, which is governed by ambient temperature, and mass.

Pour the liquid and hardener portions into the pail first, mix for at least one minute, and then add the aggregate portion slowly. A very stiff mix is required to get the best non-slump characteristics.
